Riau, 16 March 2023 – Due to the continuous support for regional development in Pelalawan Regency, through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program and the Partnership and Community Development Program (PKBL), Asian Agri through its business unit, PT Inti Indosawit Subur (PT IIS) receives an award from the Pelalawan Regent, Zukri Misran.

The award is given at the Regional Government Work Plan Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang RKPD) of Pelalawan Regency for the 2024 period, at the Regional Datuk Laksamana Mangkudiraja Building, Pelalawan, Riau.

On that occasion, the Regent of Pelalawan, Zukri Misran explains the importance of infrastructure development to increase economic growth and also the efforts of the local government to reduce poverty. He hopes that the company will play a role in encouraging the development of Pelalawan Regency through the contribution of the CSR program. Therefore, the local government gives awards to companies including PT IIS, that are actively conducting CSR activities.

CSR Coordinator of Riau Region, Eko Budi Christyanto said, “We are very grateful for the award given by the Government of Pelalawan Regency to PT IIS for the CSR activities that have been carried out so far. We hope our CSR activities can provide direct benefits to the people of Pelalawan Regency.”

Eko also explains that PT IIS always tries to improve the standard of living of the surrounding community through CSR programs which are routinely implemented every year. These programs consist of several fields, such as Health, Education, Social Economy, and Infrastructure.

In 2022, the company has carried out various CSR programs, such as the stunting prevention program, providing scholarships and educational and sports facilities, the Sustainable Palm Oil School program, training programs and community economic empowerment through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) such as animal husbandry and cultivation fresh water fish, provision of cooking oil assistance, and infrastructure assistance.

The event is attended by Chairperson of Commission I of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) Pelalawan Nasaruddin, Deputy Regent of Pelalawan, Nasaruddin, Chair of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Pelalawan ,Tengku Zulfan, and Deputy Head of Pelalawan Police Commissioner, Antoni Lumban Gaol.
