Pelalawan, 12 March 2025 – One of Asian Agri’s business units, PT Inti Indosawit Subur – Ukui Group (PT IIS), is backing the government’s initiative to boost national food security by cultivating corn on 1.2 hectares of company-owned land. The planting took place on March 10, 2025, at the Sei Lala replanting site in Silikuan Hulu Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau.

At the event, Ukui District Head, Joko Hadi Syaifudin Zuhri praised PT IIS for its initiative. He conveyed his sincere thanks for the activity, which supports and is in line with the government’s program.

The Ukui Police Chief, Rudi Hardiyono also expressed his appreciation, saying, “We thank and appreciate Asian Agri for its support in the food security program in the Ukui Police precinct.”

The Group Managerof PT IIS, Victory Brahmana, said the initiative is a tangible demonstration of the company’s support for the Asta Cita program, which aims to strengthen national food security by focusing on the development and use of the agricultural sector, particularly corn.

“This program is part of our commitment to food security, with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency by providing sufficient, safe, nutritious, and affordable food for the public,” Victory said. “PT IIS is committed to continuing its support for this government initiative, along with our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and other initiatives.” He also added that the corn planting is a concrete step in the company’s efforts to play an active role in supporting national food security, in line with the government’s efforts to ensure sustainable food security.

The event was attended by Ukui District Head Joko Hadi Syaifudin Zuhri and Ukui Police Chief Rudi Hardiyono. It was also witnessed by representatives from the Pangkalan Kuras Military Command and the local village head.
