Pelalawan, March 21, 2025 — The Pelalawan Regency Government, in collaboration with Asian Agri’s business unit PT Inti Indosawit Subur (PT IIS), held a premium cooking oil bazaar at the Pangkalan Kerinci subdistrict office in Pelalawan, Riau, on Wednesday, March 19. PT IIS supplied 10,000 liters of premium VIP-brand cooking oil as a concrete effort to help the community access essential goods at more affordable prices.
The event was officially opened by Pelalawan’s Assistant Regent for Government Affairs, Fakhrizal, who emphasized that the bazaar demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting community welfare. “Besides cooking oil, the bazaar also offers a range of staple goods such as rice, sugar, and eggs. This allows residents to purchase 20 basic necessities at lower prices,” he said.
The Head of Pelalawan’s Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, and Trade, Hanafie also expressed appreciation for PT IIS’s role in providing affordable cooking oil to the public. “We hope this partnership continues to maintain price stability and ensure the availability of essential goods for the community,” he said.
Pelalawan Deputy Police Chief Kompol Asep Rahmat highlighted the importance of orderliness during the bazaar. “We hope this event truly benefits the community and runs smoothly. We ask residents to remain orderly while queuing. We also thank Asian Agri through PT IIS for contributing to affordable cooking oil availability,” he said.
