Asian Agri through its business unit PT. Rigunas Agri Utama (RAU) gave an appreciation to Tuo Sumay Village. Tuo Sumay Village received a reward of Rp. 100 million for successfully running the Fire Free Village program initiated by Asian Agri since 2016 in Jambi Province.
Head of HSE & CSR Asian Agri, Welly Pardede expressed his appreciation to all villagers who have taken part in and supported the Fire Free Village Program (FFVP) to run well, especially in the Tuo Sumay Village area.
“This is an effort to prevent forest and land fires. Currently, the program has been running in Riau and Jambi Provinces. For Jambi, the program has started since 2016 involving two villages in West Tanjung Jabung Regency”, he said.
The village that receives the 100 million Rupiah reward is the one with no forest and land fire incident, whereas the 50 million Rupiah reward is handed to the village which reports fire incident in less than 1 hectare.
