[JAMBI EKSPRES] COVID-19 PANDEMIC, ASIAN AGRI DISTRIBUTES THOUSANDS OF STAPLE FOOD PACKAGES TO THE COMMUNITY

Asian Agri, as one of the major oil palm plantation companies in Indonesia which operates in three Provinces, namely North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi shows their concern for the poor for Eid Mubarak preparation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The distribution of the staple food packages in Penyabungan Village directly delivered by Nirwan Ginting, Assistant Head CSV Asian Agri, Jambi Region and received by the Village Head of Penyabungan, M. Sadat.

According to Welly Pardede, Head CSR Asian Agri, the company has prepared thousands of food packages that will be distributed to the community.

“We always strive to help the government in breaking the chain of Covid-19 through various CSR programs that have been carried out in Asian Agri business units. Asian Agri has distributed free masks, provided a portable hand washing facilities, spraying disinfectants to public facilities, etc. We also realise that communities also need basic foods in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially before the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. For that reason, Asian Agri has prepared 4,732 packages of basic food to be distributed to the chosen community, the people who really need our helping hand”, said Welly Pardede, as stated in the press release.
