Riau is a province which is prone to flooding, forest and land fires. Therefore, Asian Agri provides information on potential disasters to senior vocational students who are also members of Scout organization.
In providing knowledge of forest and land fire prevention, Asian Agri also collaborates with stakeholders from village officials, the Fire Aware Community (MPA), youth leaders, the Police and students from the University of Riau (UNRI) to provide information in the camp activities which are routinely carried out by the Scout team of SMKN 1 Lubuk Ogong Village.
The activity takes place on October 10, 2020, at the Camping Complex of SMKN 1, Lubuk Ogong Village, Bandar Sei Kijang District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province.
Fire Free Village Program Manager of Asian Agri, Hafiz Hazalin Sinaga, said that an understanding of the basis of disaster must be built from an early age.
Hafiz added that efforts to prevent forest and land fires should be consistently implemented, anytime, anywhere and by anyone. This time, the counseling targets SMKN students who are also members of the Scout organization and have a basic knowledge of community service”, said Hafiz.
