[TRIBUN PEKANBARU] ACTIVE EDUCATION ON FIRE AWARE COMMUNITY LEADS ASIAN AGRI ACCEPTING THE LEGAL ENFORCEMENT OF FOREST AND LAND FIRE

The Directorate General of Environmental and Forestry Law Enforcement (Gakkum) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry held a socialization of forestry law enforcement at the Pekanbaru Prince Hotel, Thursday (27/02/2020). The activity was held in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Police which aimed to remind companies to make efforts to prevent forest and land fire.

The Director General of Gakkum KLHK, Dr. Rasio Ridho Sani said, the government continues to make various efforts to prevent and control forest and land fires. “Various law enforcement measures, both land sealing, administrative sanctions, civil sanctions, and crimes have been carried out, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry together with the police and the Attorney General’s Office on the perpetrators of forest and land fires, both individuals and corporations support this”, he said.

This company mandate was given to Asian Agri who was considered to be active in efforts to prevent forest and land fires in the form of the Fire Aware Community (MPA) and encourage the community to open land without burning. The information was handed over directly from the Police Headquarters Kabareskrim Komjen Pol Drs Listyo Sigit MSi to Asian Agri, which was received by Asian Agri Sustainability Operation, Putu Grhyate Yonata Aksa.
