Jambi, 25 August 2018 – In conjunction with the 73rd Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Asian Agri through PT Dasa Anugrah Sejati (PT DAS) provided a new classroom to SDN 183 located in Lubuk Bernai Village, Tanjung Jabung Regency Barat, Jambi.

HThe inauguration of the new classroom was attended by Lubuk Bernai Village Chief, Zulfahmi, Head of SDN 183, Mukhsin, PT DAS Group Manager, Alison Marbun and Asian Agri Head of Sustainability Operations & CSR, Welly Pardede, as well as the school committee and community leaders.

Supporting and developing the quality of education in Indonesia is one way that Asian Agri focuses on the continuous improvement in the quality of life of the communities around the company. Tapping onto the Independence Day momentum, we want to share happiness with schools and students by providing new classrooms complete with facilities for teaching and learning activities,” Welly said.

PT DAS Group Manager, Alison Marbun, said that the development of community welfare is the main focus of PT DAS in carrying out all the company’s operational activities. The involvement of the surrounding community in supporting the company’s activities is manifested through a harmonious relationship, which can be an example for other companies.

“We (PT DAS) are always committed to be a company that is loved by its communities. We hope that this assistance can be beneficial to schools to improve the quality of teaching and learning and of course, as joint property, it should be treated as best as possible, “Alison said.

Head of SDN 183, Mukhsin, conveyed appreciation to Asian Agri for supporting the school. “Thank you to Asian Agri, who has always actively supported the development of education in our village. This classroom will help us in continuing to develop our school to a better level,” Mukhsin said.
