In order to educate the public about forest fire prevention (Karhutla), Asian Agri shared its experience to Aceh communities in 2017 National Week, reported Metrojambi.com.
Asian Agri introduced one of its main initiatives, the Free Fire Village Program, which has engaged 10 villages across Riau and Jambi. This program has been proven to increase public awareness of the negative impacts of the haze and forest fire.
In addition, through the 2017 National Week, Asian Agri also hopes to improve the agricultural sector and be able to raise the spirit of Indonesian independence, sustainability and food sovereignty.
